CCDC provides trainings and consulting services for companies/businesses, organizations, providers, and government agencies on various areas central to the disability community. We can help you meet a variety of goals depending on your entity’s specific interests, commitments, and/or requirements, and we may be able to customize our services to your needs.   • Provide a fuller, practical understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Conduct an inclusivity assessment of your establishment, and provide recommendations for recruiting and retaining qualified people with disabilities to join your staff, board, or clientele
  • Audit documents/materials and test communications tools to determine effectiveness and suitability for a wide range of disabilities; includes recommendations for improvements
  • Review documents/materials to provide general feedback about how the documents/materials may be received by the disability community
  • Review client materials (for example, checklists, one-page fact sheets, etc.) to ensure relevancy for people with disabilities
  • Make customized recommendations for how your agency can increase and/or improve client engagement within the disability community
  • Design and/or conduct client interviews and focus groups
  • Provide management of client advisory councils and processes to increase involvement of affected populations

  • Medicaid (Basic Overview, “Know Your Rights” Due Process Rights, Long Term Services and Supports Overview, Consumer Direction Philosophy and Programs)
  • The Legislative Process for Citizen Lobbyists
  • Advocacy within State Government

We can design training tailored to specific audiences, including disability groups, providers, case managers, governments, or businesses. Custom training topics are available upon request.

We offer facilitation and consultation services, including:

  • Facilitation of client/member/community advisory councils
  • Focus group facilitation
  • Material and policy review for disability rights compliance and cultural competence
  • Consultation on disability-related issues and nonprofit development
  • Accessibility reviews and consultation
  • Assistance in converting bureaucratic information into plain language
