Announcing the Disability Benefits Services Contract (DBSCC) Committee’s - Cohort # 7

 

This grant opportunity is open May 5-June 8, 2016

 

The DBSCC will award $100,000 in grants, which:


 

  • Enhance the lives of people with disabilities
  • Are new and innovative*
  • Are ideas which have not been done prior
  • Are run by organizations with a majority of the board of directors consisting of people with disabilities, or involved family members and/or caregivers

 


Governmental agencies, or agencies with more than 2/3’s of their income coming from government funding, need not apply. The DBSCC will NOT fund ANY capital expenses, related to brick and mortar, including rent. The grant funds may not be used solely to increase the value of the organization.

Successful applicants will be required to report twice a year, with quarterly contact, to ensure the funds are being used as intended.

NOTE:  Grants received after 5 PM MST on June 8, 2016, will not be considered

*New and innovative is defined by this committee as unique, improving the lives of people with disabilities. It is innovative in its actions and intended outcomes, which will enhance everyday life, extend life or increase independence. A NEW project is one that has either not been done previously, or has been changed in an innovative way. New is considered less than 3 years of age. Consideration will be made, if the proposed project is new to a specific region or community, as these funds are intended to be statewide.
