HCPF Partners and Stakeholders Meeting - Pueblo

01/24/2012 - 10:00am - 12:00pm

Hello All,

Happy New Year!  We are looking forward to an exciting year in 2012, working with you to improve services to the citizens of Colorado.  As promised, the Departments of Health Care Policy and Financing, Human Services and Public Health and Environment would like to invite you to attend any of three community forums being held around the state to discuss the redesign of Colorado's long-term services and supports system.  As you know, the Departments submitted a proposal to the Joint Budget Committee that included a suggestion to relocate the Division for Developmental Disabilities, the State Unit on Aging and the Children's Residential Habilitation Program from the Department of Human Services to the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing.  This proposal includes streamlining the state's long-term services and supports system by reducing department level fragmentation, leveraging federal health care reform dollars, and most importantly, improving services to clients.

We are inviting our partners and stakeholders to provide input on this proposal.  Please feel free to send this invitation to your stakeholder networks.

Please join us for a broad discussion about the proposal to relocate these programs.

The executive directors will be in attendance, and we are looking forward to these discussions. We will have an opportunity for stakeholders to call-in to the discussion.

Please RSVP to Cecilia Duran at cecilia.duran@state.co.us and indicate which forum you will attend.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,
Sue Birch and Reggie Bicha
