Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition (CCDC) is excited to announce the following Fall 2016 Advanced Disability Advocacy Class
- Focus Area – SERVICE ANIMALS
- American With Disabilities Act – Service Animals
- Fair Housing Act – Companion and Support Animals
- Air Carrier Act – Travel Support Animals
This training provides an advanced education opportunity for community activists, clients, or those looking for additional skills necessary to work in the field of disability services, advocacy, community organizing, the legislative process, and civil rights law.

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn more about this topic as there remains much confusion as to the definition of a Service Animal and when and if the varied laws apply. The intent of this class is to define and clarify the differences as specified by the varied Acts.
- American With Disabilities Act – Service Animals – The Law, Identification and Compliance
- Fair Housing Act – Companion and Support Animals – The Law, Identification and Compliance
- Air Carrier Act – Travel Support Animals – The Law, Identification and Compliance
- The 2016 Colorado Law – Service Animals Specifically Identified in compliance with the current Americans with Disabilities Act- Specifically, false identification of an animal as a Service Animal

Affiliate/organization cost - $150 per applicant (second applicant from same organization $75)
CCDC Certificate of Completion – No cost
CCDC DU (CEU’s) Continuing Education Units = 1 unit $25 (Application and payment must be submitted to CCDC by registration deadline – October 20, 2016)
