Spring 2018 CCDC Advanced Advocacy Training

America Votes!


Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition (CCDC) is excited to announce the following Spring 2018 Advanced Disability Advocacy Class


This training provides an educational opportunity for people with disabilities, families, community activists, allies, and anyone interested in understanding more about our elections process.  If you have any of these questions you should attend this training!

ü  How do primaries work? 

ü  Why would anyone want to be part of a political party?

ü  How do parties determine their platform and how can a citizen influence these important decisions?  

ü  What really happens on a campaign? 

ü  How can we get to know our candidates better before they are elected to office? 

ü  What are the rights of people with disabilities regarding our participation throughout the process?

CCDC Members committed to the CCDC Volunteer/Advocacy Team (10 hrs in 6 months)-free

Affiliate/organization Registration cost - $150 per applicant (second applicant from same organization $75)

CCDC Certificate of Completion – No cost

CCDC/DU (CEU’s) Continuing Education Units = 1 unit $25 in addition to the class registration (Application information will be provided upon interest noted on class registration)

Please Note: CCDC is providing this training both “in person” and “On-Line” with the use of “ZOOM” or teleconference.

Note:  CCDC is sorry that we are unable to provide reimbursement of mileage, hotel accommodations, long distance charges (long distance charges may be incurred for teleconference), food, etc. for anyone attending the training.
