Taylor et. al. v. the Regional Transportation District, 00-Z-981 (D.C. Colo. 2000)

Five individual plaintiffs (four who use wheelchairs and one who is blind) and the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition experienced discrimination including busses passing them by, broken wheelchair lifts and securement systems, drivers not calling out stops, improper securement, discriminatory driver attitudes, and retaliation for asserting their rights under the ADA and Rehabilitation Act.

Settled with policy changes, training, monitoring, damages, and attorneys fees. CCDC is working to enforce the Consent Decree reached with RTD and is providing training to RTD and its subcontractors.
