Escoffier School of Culinary Arts

Lawrence et al. v. Triumph CSR Acquisitions, LLC, 13-cv-00553-REB-CBS

Culinary school refuses to pay for sign language interpreters for deaf student who has been admitted to the school.

Complaint was filed in March 4, 2013.

On September 3, 2013, we requested the court to add another deaf Plaintiff, Elena Wolfangle, who was also admitted to the school, but the school refused to pay for interpreters.

Defendants do not dispute they refused to pay for interpreters. They simply argue doing so would be an "undue burden or hardship" on Defendants because of its significant difficulty and/or expense.
